Attaching directly to DV-F Link batteries, DV Link Power Adaptors step-up and distribute battery power. This allows the user to power additional on-board equipment as well as the camera.
The system works with the Sony Z1, FX1, PD-150, PD-170. It has limited compatibly with the Z5 and Z7 due to the fact that these cameras have a hard-disk recorder which when in use, covers the rear of the battery port. If the hard disk recorder is not being used, the Link battery and DV-CA12 power adaptor are compatible. DV Link batteries feature Info-Lithium technology and are recognised as 100% compatible with these Sony cameras.
Can I connect Link adaptors to my existing Sony batteries?No, the ‘Link’ fitting is unique to Hawk-Woods (patent pending). Sony NP-F type batteries do not have this feature.
How long will the DV-F970L battery run my camera for?This battery will run a Z1 for approximately 5½ hours, if a Link power adaptor is attached and running additional equipment (such as a lamp) this time will be reduced. The reduction in time will depend on the amount of additional power drawn.
What is the maximum capacity available from a DV Link power adaptor?The DV-CA25 will provide 25Watts
