Reel Power 'Arri Alexa' Film Camera Battery-System

The new Reel Power Film Camera System has been designed for high speed film or high voltage cameras, like the new Arri Alexa. This range of powering solutions offers those working with this equipment a quality, cost effective and portable solution.

The RP range of Lithium-Ion and Manganese Lithium-Ion batteries have been specifically designed for running high voltage, high speed film cameras. This includes the widely used Phantom series. Reel Power on-board battery packs offer camera operators a convenient portable alternative. All batteries feature a male V-Mount type fitting which is compatible with the Reel Power range of chargers, adaptors and fittings.

The portable RP battery chargers have been designed to sequentially charge either the 26V or 30V series of RP batteries. Featuring two V-Mount type channels, they will fast charge the Manganese RP-90M or RP-100M in approximately one hour. Two RP-140 or RP-180 batteries can be charged in around four hours each respectively.

Reel Power Camera Fittings provide film camera operators with Reel Power system compatibility. The V-Mount battery type battery mount allows high speed, high power film cameras to utilise the Reel Power range of high capacity batteries. Power is transferred to the camera via a 3-pin XLR flying lead. Additional power distribution is available via a Power-Con (D-Tap) socket and 3-pin Fischer connector.

The RP Camera Adaptor allows the high capacity Reel Power battery range (26/30V) to be used with conventional 12V broadcast cameras. It will attach to any camera using the Sony V-mount type battery fitting, creating Reel Power battery compatibility.

The RP-XP1 film camera battery switch allows two Hawk-Woods' Reel Power Batteries to be connected and discharged in sequence. The
