As technology has moved on so Hawk-Woods are pleased to offer Ni-Mh as a viable alternative to the SC range of battery belts normally used for 12V cameras and lighting.

The main advantage of Ni-Mh over the Ni-Cad is the power available to run a camera or lamp for longer period for the same weight, an example would be the SC7-13 is a similar weight to the SP13-13, however the Ni-Mh (SP belt) has an additional 80W of power available and would run a 25W camcorder for an additional 3 hours!

The built-in charger offers universal mains input as with all of Hawk-Woods battery belts as standard.  The intelligent charging unit constantly maintains the cells in complete balanced state; there-fore there is no need to discharge completely before charge as with some other manufacturers products to overcome the memory affect which normally transpires as out-of-balance.

A 10AT self re-setting circuit breaker is fitted to protect against short circuits.  Additional protection in the form of a LVC (Low voltage cut-out) is available to order.
